I-Team Requirements

SHPS Investigation Team (I-Team) is a core of sincere, dedicated, educated and experienced SHPS members who are a first line response team for all cases.  Though SHPS has well over 100 rostered members, only about 10% of these have completed requirements to become members of our field investigation team.

In order to be considered for induction into our field investigation team, the following criteria must be met:

1) Members must have attended at least three regular meetings and completed the Think Outside the Box training program (for instructional and liability purposes)

2) Members must have on file a signed waiver of liability and hold harmless agreement acknowledging SHPS is not responsible for personal injury or damage to members’ property, nor do we accept responsibility of a member’s welfare or personal actions while on investigation.

3) Members must be at least 18 years old

4) Members must be willing to submit to a background check and be forthcoming with any criminal history (for the safety of our team)

SHPS Administration reserves the right to approve or deny attendance of anyone on investigations solely at our discretion.  Completion of our training program and attendance at a specific investigation does not imply automatic approval on future investigations.  Attendance on each case will be determined on an individual basis.
