SHPS Training Policy
It is our intention to be well-trained and prepared for any situation that may arise while on investigation. Due to the nature of paranormal investigation, we often find ourselves in less than ideal weather situations, as well as restrictive or hazardous spaces riddled with obstacles. In contrast to the physical aspect of investigations, we also must be prepared to handle mental, emotional, and spiritual crisis that may arise when confronted with the unknown. Our investigators pride themselves on being realists, skeptics, logical and rational thinkers, capable of handling most any unexpected situation calmly and professionally.
Seven Hills Paranormal Society has implemented a thorough training program required to be completed by all of our potential Investigation Team members in an attempt to combat irrational or unreasonable reactions to environmental factors and to encourage critical thinking when faced with the unexplained.
Following is a brief outline of our basic training curriculum required for all I-Team members, though our training is continually updated and expanded on a personal and organizational level.
Our training program has been utilized by investigative groups throughout Virginia and will soon be available as a comprehensive package for distance learning, including power point lessons, hands-on activities, educational games, experiments and investigative exercises. In the meantime, please contact us about providing training workshops for your group- each workshop can be tailored to meet your specific interests and needs.
