About ParaQuest:

First held April 1-2, 2011 in Lynchburg, VA, ParaQuest was a first of its kind conference, a collaborative effort of Seven Hills and Bedford Paranormal Societies and intended as co-op of paranormal interest and talent in VA.

Speakers included authors L.B. Taylor Jr., Beth Brown, Alpheus Chewning and Pat Bussard.  Other presenters included Debbie Carvelli on out-of-body experience, Benton Bogle of the Rhine Research Center on Remote Viewing, Carol De La Herran of the Monroe Institute on Healing with Frequency, Billy Willard of the VA Sasquatch Watch, Trevor Carter on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, Dr. Shari Stacy and Clayton Trout of Dark Objects Radio on the UFO/Paranormal connection, Pat & Stephanie Bussard on burial customs of the Victorian Age, Sue Swiatek, the VA state director of MUFON, Mike St. Clair of VIPER paranormal on hoaxes and fakes,  Rick Youells and David Parrish on a tech-talk panel, Tara Bryant on Cellular Memory in the Transplant Scenario and Alan May on A History of Spirit Communication.

ParaQuest hosted a Friday night reception with musician Jason Ring and magician David Condoures of Smith Mountain Light and Magic.  There was a variety of vendors, a blood drive and after-hours Ghost Tours hosted by Seven Hills Paranormal Society.

“The Real Deal with Seven Hills…”

Lynchburg Ghost Tours is expanding our tours!

Due to the huge success of our fall season, LGT, sponsored by Seven Hills Paranormal, will be offering haunted history tours by appointment throughout the year, subject to availability and group size.

COMING SPRING 2011-  Paranormal Adventure Weekends with Mariner’s Landing Resort!!  SHPS is in the process of establishing a NEW haunted history tour of Smith Mountain Lake and the surrounding vicinity- including Huddleston, Moneta and Goose Creek.  The tour will be offered as an exciting and informative activity for resort guests interested in the darker history of Smith Mountain Lake.

Lynchburg Ghost Tours

Join real life paranormal investigators as we explore Lynchburg’s Haunted History in this 1 1/2 hour driving tour, journeying through the city’s oldest historic districts and sites of special historical significance.  The tour includes brief stops at some of Lynchburg’s more “active” sites (we will not go inside the buildings), review of evidence collected in SHPS investigations, stories of personal experiences from our Investigation team, hands-on demonstrations of our investigative equipment, and possibly a mini field investigation (time permitting).

May not be appropriate for children under 10.  All children must be in a seat per VA passenger laws.

January 18, 2008:  Investigation at church in Amherst Co., VA

Estimated near 110 years old, this small community church has seen many eras of construction and renovation.  Reports of paranormal activity include audible footsteps, disembodied voices, the feeling of a presence, and moving shadows.  Recent reports also include the sound of a car on gravel (there is no gravel road or lot near the church), and phantom car lights spilling through the windows when there is no car in sight.  The sound of a car door closing has also been heard in the absence of any vehicle.

It was only after we began this investigation that we learned of a tragedy that occurred several years ago in close proximity to the church… Read the rest of this entry »
