I was wondering if you had any information on the Guggenheimer Home (formerly a Hospital, now a Nursing Home).

I have heard of appearances of a nurse in old fashioned starched white uniform and cap, and Mr. Guggenheimer himself

    Thanks

I saw where you have been to St. Albans Psychiatric Hospital in Radford. I worked there in 1981 to 1986. I had some experiences when I would go into the old hospital in the night time to pull charts (I worked in Medical Records). There were strange noises, extreme episodes of cold going through you and one time there were foot steps behind me and the strong feeling that someone was behind me (I did not turn around though–but the hair on my arms and neck did stand up). I would love to be there when you do your next investigation if possible. I would not get in the way–I have always been interested in the paranormal and have seen things and felt things at other places I have worked also, but St. Albans is the best. I love that old building.

Also I would love to find out more about your research classes.

Thank you for doing a great job and being local!!!!
    Debra

    Hey there,

My name is Dani and I attend Sweet Briar College. Last night a few of my friends from Randolph College ventured off to visit the old cemetery near campus. We did not expect much, which might have been a bad thing on our part. As we walked through the entrance, a female moan (which was loud enough to be a scream) came out of now where. We ended up running, but went back in at least 3 more times to try to figure it out. I unfortunately ended up with several scratches on my knee and elbow… I do not know where they came from. While a few of my friends stayed outside the entrance with me, we kept seeing the same figure appear walking back and forth in front of it. Large balls of light kept showing up (too big to be any sort of bug)kept floating where the figure kept walking. A few minutes after we saw these lights, our friends came screaming out claiming to have seen something and hearing the same moan but louder. As they caught their breath, the moan came from the very edge of the entrance and was extremely loud. Whatever is back there followed us back and we saw it with our own eyes.

Is there anyway we could find a place that allows us to rent gear for investigations?? If so, please let me know. My friends and I will be returning soon. However, we would like to be more prepared.

    Thanks!

Image beening at St.Albans to seek mental health help and have these ghostly events happen. After 32 years I still remember the ghostly events involving Native Americans touching and talking with me on the teen unit. These experiences are never forgotten even as one gets older. Thank you for allowing me to speak.
